Josh & Georgia

A heritage quantity surveyor and a jewellery buyer, dreaming of restoring a historic château into a retreat for artists.

About Josh and Georgia

Georgia and Josh are childhood sweethearts of 13 years, united by creativity, ambition and a shared love of heritage buildings. After studying together in Brighton, Georgia in fashion design and Josh in professional musicianship, they’ve gone on to blend design vision with serious technical know-how.

Georgia works in jewellery buying, with a sharp commercial eye for sourcing premium materials at the best prices. Highly competitive and detail-driven, she leads the design direction. Josh, more laid back but deeply knowledgeable, trained as a quantity surveyor and has managed major building budgets for London hotels, English Heritage and the National Trust, while still playing in bands.

Their DIY journey

No strangers to property projects, the pair recently took on a barn conversion, reconfiguring the entire downstairs themselves for £40,000 after being quoted £120,000. They began sharing the process online and quickly gained attention from national newspapers.

Now, their Instagram platforms showcase elevated IKEA hacks, budget room transformations and practical advice on achieving a Soho Farmhouse-style look on a realistic budget, proving that great design doesn’t have to come with a huge price tag.

Georgia leads the vision and sourcing; Josh brings the build expertise, with hands-on skills passed down from Georgia’s dad, a retired timber merchant.

The Dream

Georgia and Josh are building towards something bigger: creative freedom and a destination of their own. Their dream is to create a retreat-style venue; a glamping site with a communal workshop space that can be used by musicians and artists, where design, craftsmanship and community come together.

One renovation clearly isn’t enough.
