Bold advice
Do it! Live your dreams.
A rich history
The building holds a rich history spanning three distinct ages. Originally, a Manor House stood on the grounds, dating back to the 1300s. The main structure, now 300 years old as of this year, was constructed in 1724. Later, additional features including the tower and outbuildings were added between 1803 and 1808, contributing to the architectural evolution of the property over the centuries.
Capturing the original charm
Their goal was not just to renovate a chateau, but to undertake a restoration that aimed to recapture its original essence and charm. Striving to peel back layers of time, they sought to uncover and revive the authentic character of the property, envisioning a return to its former glory. By embracing this approach, they embarked on a journey to honour the heritage and history of the chateau, preserving its legacy for generations to come.

Watch the pennies
Balancing a budget while overseeing the restoration project poses a significant challenge for them. With limited resources and a multitude of tasks to manage, they must carefully allocate funds to ensure that every aspect of the restoration is addressed efficiently and effectively. Juggling financial considerations alongside the practical demands of the project requires careful planning, strategic decision-making, and resourcefulness to achieve their vision within their means.
The jewel of the chateau
Thus far, the 400 suite stands out as the clear favourite among their accommodations. Its allure surpasses that of the others, offering a superior experience and leaving a lasting impression on them.
Future plans
They plan to establish a Chambre de Hôte, a guest room or bed and breakfast accommodation. We want to welcome guests into our home providing them with a comfortable and hospitable environment during their stay.
